I added a small momentary BOOT button, so you no longer need to use tweezers or a paper clip to pull GPIO 0 to GND manually.

To enter bootloader mode:

Press and hold the BOOT button down, power up the board (connect programmer USB to PC for example), release the button, and proceed to upload your firmware.

Use an INMP441 module to enable the sound reactive capabilities.

You need to use a USB-to-TTL/UART converter for the initial flashing of the software. Alternatively, you can build this handy CH340C adapter with an auto-reset function: https://www.pcbway.com/project/shareproject/CH340C_with_Auto_Reset_104b447f.html.

If you're using a standard USB-to-TTL/UART converter (such as the CH340 modules commonly found on AliExpress), make sure to supply +3.3V to the ESP via the 3V3 pin from the programming header, cross the RX and TX connections.

Press and hold BOOT button, then power up the board and only after that release the button, and proceed to upload your firmware.

⚠️ IMPORTANT INFORMATION ! : ⚠️

Make sure your power supply voltage matches your LED strip voltage (for example: 5V LEDs → 5V power supply, 12V LEDs → 12V power supply, 24V LEDs → 24V power supply).

The onboard voltage regulators only provide power for the ESP32 and the level shifter - they do not convert or regulate power for the LEDs. As you can see in the image below, the voltage from power jack goes through the resettable fuse and then goes directly to the LED VCC pin in the back of the board.

The power jack used is a 2.5x6.5mm one ( link ), so be sure you have a compatible jack on your power supply.

Please keep in mind that the connector I originally used only supports up to 5A.
