What is it?

The Bruce V2 Smoochiee is an open-source project that features an expansion board for ESP32 microcontrollers using Bruce firmware. It features multiple RF modules on a custom PCB in a 3D-printed case.

Why did I make it?

Necessity! There are a few reasons. For one, the wiring for attaching transceivers to the ESP32 is fragile. I needed something more solid and portable. The Flipper Zero is great but pricey. So I wanted to make an affordable tool using available components. There were also hardware bugs with the V1 that this version fixes.

How does it work?

The custom PCB houses four modules:

CC1101 module for sub-GHz frequencies (garage doors)

NRF24L01 for 2.4GHz wireless sniffing (wireless mice/keys)

PN532 for high-frequency RFID/NFC card emulation

IR for controlling TVs and ACs

Using the Bruce firmware, the Smoochiee comes with an intuitive graphical interface to switch between the tools. It manages the pins for each device for you so switching between tools is quick and easy!
