YourChess is an intelligent interactive chessboard that combines 3D printing, custom electronics, and software into a unique gaming and educational experience. The board uses 64 Hall effect sensors to detect each move, while individually addressable WS2812B LEDs provide visual feedback. Players can enjoy Human vs Human games, or challenge a basic AI engine in Human vs AI mode.

The project started as my graduation thesis and grew into a passion project. I wanted to create not only a functional product, but also a showcase of DIY electronics, coding, and fabrication. The first prototype is based on Arduino Mega 2560, with external shift registers handling sensor inputs, and a battery system making the board portable.

I am now working on the next version, which will be powered by ESP32, include stronger AI, and allow online play through Lichess.
