This is a modular synthesizer stereo panner for audio or control voltages.

This is a modular project for modular synthesizers--you will need 4 PCB's: the "jacks and pots board", which handles signal conditioning, mixing, and buffering, featured in this community project page; a front panel (see gerber file attached to this community project); an "Irwin" SSM2164 dual VCA board featured in the PCBWAY community project here; and the dual contentric pots board found here.

The project is not for beginners, requiring 1206 and SOIC SMD soldering skills, as well as creation of JST-XH jumpers (see the blog post here).

To select inverting vs. non-inverting CV buffers the design uses a center-tap pot, ALPS RK11K1140A3L; a somewhat exotic (but still manufactured) pot.

This synthesizer module is created in PAIA FRAC format; a format I like due to its intermediate size (bigger than Euro, but smaller than say 4u).

If there is sufficient interest I will port it to Eurorack and/or a Large Format.

If you are having PCBWAY create the front panel (recommended!) I recommend you use black soldermask with white silks, and pay the extra $1.50US or equivalent in your currency to get the project number not silk screened onto the panel.
