TCAL9539PWR - I2C 16 bit I/O port expander - breakout board
MBOB-TCAL9539PWR
This is a breakout board for the Texas Instruments TCAL9539PWR. This is a 16 bit I/O expander with I2C bus interface. The GPIO functions are a bit more advanced than on standard port expanders. The agile I/O capabilities include latched inputs that i need to investigate for a project were a lot of input are needed.
There is also a video attached to this project, here i will go through the design process in KiCad, both for the schematic design and the PCB layout.
