IKEA TILLBRINGARE Jug Cover
This sleek cover solves one issue: refrigerator taste. If you leave a jug of water uncovered in your refrigerator overnight, it will have a distinctive taste that is unpleasant. This cover solves the issue while keeping the jug's sleek curves.
Material
Using plastic could work but since condensation will form on the cover then perhaps the plastic may degrade over time and slowly decompose into your drinking water. I added aluminum foil to my first 3D printed design but the friction destroys the foil over time.
I recommend using Bead blast + Anodized Aluminum 5052. This combo has a high resistance to oxidation and should last many years.
