Compact Commodore 64 ROM replacement V2

but in this V2 (second version) the chip is placed under the board.

This is a drop in replacement for each three c64 rom chips (kernel, basic, char)

First you need to decide and download which of the c64 roms you will be programming, from http://www.zimmers.net/anonftp/pub/cbm/firmware/computers/c64/

once you download it you will need a an SOIC28 TO DIP28 adapter for your mini pro eprom programmer.

You can program the chip using the soic to dip adapter with your favorite eeprom programmer.

once you solder the programmed chip on the board and solder the pins as legs, you are good to go. Just make sure you drop it in the correct socket.

Remember, the one on the left is (901226) is the basic rom, the one on the middle is kernel (901227) and the one on the right (901225) is the character rom for long boards.

And ask yourself "where's all the ROM gone?"
