Description

BGA24 to SOP8 Adapter

Upgrading the Game & Watch Storage

This project was created to maximize the available storage of the 35th Anniversary Edition Nintendo Game & Watch (Both the Mario & Zelda Editions).

These adapt a 24-Ball BGA (5x5 ball array) either of the flash chips listed below to a allow it be soldered on the 35th Anniversary Edition Nintendo Game & Watch's existing WSOP8 pads.

Once you have created a backup of the systems stock firmware, simply remove the existing MX25U8035F WSOP-8 Package and install this board, then install a compatible BGA chip:

Macronix1Gbit (128MB) 1.8V*24-LBGA | MX66U1G45GXDI00

Macronix2Gbit (256MB)1.8V*24-LBGA | MX66U2G45GXRI00

Please use only the above listed chips. They have been tested and confirmed working.
