27C4096, 27C4002, 27C240 TO 27C400 CONVERTER FOR MAKING AMIGA ROMS.

Use 27C4096, 27C4002, 27C240 as Amiga kickstart or Amiga DiagROM

This is a tested and working circuit. 

This adapter has been tested on Commodore Amiga 500 (REV.6) and Amiga 600

This adapter converts 27C4096, 27C4002, 27C240 (DIP40) EPROMs to 27C400 EPROM (DIP40).

With this adapter, you can make an Amiga Diagnostic ROM (DIAGROM) with using a 27C4096 or 27C4002 or 27C240 EPROMs.

This adapter works with Amiga 500 REV.6 , REV.8 , Amiga 500 Plus, Amiga 600. (it will not work on A500 REV.5 or REV.3 motherboards!)

When using this adapter on Amiga 500Plus and Amiga 600, pin1 and pin42 of the ROM socket must be left empty!

Most Amiga 16 bit computers' ROMs are compatible with 27C400 EPROMs (except A500 rev.3 and rev.5 motherboards). You may not have a 27C400 or its price may be too high, but 27C4096 and 27C4002 may be easier to find, or you may want to evaluate your 27C4096, 27C4002 EPROMs as Amiga ROMs. Then this simple adapter will be useful for you.
