Perfect fit PCB based keyboard for ZX Spectrum 16/48k.

PCB MUST BE 0.6mm thick ! Pay attention when ordering!

You can secure the PCB to the housing by thin double sided adhesive tape, or use some glue.

If you want to use PCB connectors for connecting it to the main board, there is another project here for that. Just

search for "ZX Spectrum keyboard edge connector 8 way" and "ZX Spectrum keyboard edge connector 5 way"

Use quality flat cable for connection. Cable length should be around 75mm. You will need a 5way and a 8way cable.

You can solder the ends of the flat cable into the holes, or if you want a better amd slimmer fit, you can solder them flat on the pads too..

Buttons are from Aliexpress. Search for "SMD Button 4x4x1.5mm". It's very cheap, but of course you can use better quality

buttons if you want.

It will fit perfectly under the rubber keys, with a benefit of better reliabiltiy and easy replacement if any of the buttons fail.

Clean the PCB after soldering to prevent corrosion and sticky buttons.
