Raspberry Pi Shield (HAT) — Undergraduate Thesis Project

I'm designing a Raspberry Pi shield (HAT) for a mobile robot as my final-year engineering thesis. It stacks onto the Raspberry Pi's 40-pin GPIO header and acts as the interface layer between the Pi's high-level compute and the rest of the robot's control electronics.

It's powered from the regulated 5 V rail supplied by the main board and handles level shifting between the Pi's 3.3 V logic and the robot's peripherals. The shield breaks out the communication buses (UART / I²C / SPI / CAN) and connects to sensors, motor-control nodes, and other peripherals through dedicated headers.
