PCB_TDA7231A 1-2W Amp_2023-08-19
Yes this is similar to my earlier TDA7267 board. However this TDA7231A chip is far better suited for light battery applications. It can work as low as 1.8V and as high as 15V. It also has a far lower quiescent current of about 3mA - 4mA.
It has a nice flat frequency response fro 60Hz to 20kHz+. It is capable of putting out over 1Watt in to an 8ohm speaker when run at 12V.
Once again I suggest a small 9mm x 9mm Arduino heat-sink directly on top of the chip to help dissipate the heat.
