Description
USB to RS232 to RS485 Converter
Its a simple serial converter. Using FT232RL as a USB driver chip for connect to PC, raspberry or others mini PCs using USB port.
HOW TO USE?
- Make a hardware, check BoM in the schematic or open BoM file (.rar)
- Install FTDI Driver on your computer
- Connect the converter to computer using USB port
- Open Device Manager and check connected COM Port
- You can use serial debugging software like Putty, Hyperterminal or Teraterm for testing the converter
TYPICAL APLLICATION :
- Modbus RTU application
- Connect some device through serial communication
I use this device to get serial data from some device like digital weighing scale, PLC, HMI and other device that support serial (232 or 485) communication
