RP2350A Macropad
A fully customizable 3x3 mechanical macropad built around the Raspberry Pi RP2350A and laid out in KiCad. It enumerates over USB as an ordinary keyboard, so it needs no drivers, and its keymap can be remapped straight from a web browser over the Web Serial API.
A 1.14 inch LCD shows the current layout, live temperature and humidity, and the keys as they are pressed, and three RGB LEDs show status. Beyond plain shortcuts, a key can be set as a macro that runs a script on the computer through a small companion daemon, with a color icon that also shows on the board's screen.
The firmware is C on the Pico SDK with TinyUSB, the keymap is stored in the QSPI flash, and the whole project (KiCad files, firmware and web programmer) is open source. A full DIY build comes to around $5 to $10 in small quantities.
