Picaxe 20X2 Prop / Robot controller
This is a Prop / Robot controller based on the Picaxe 20X2 controller. The controller can operate up to 64MHZ. I added an onboard regulated 5 volt power supply with reverse polarity protection, All 8 inputs can be pulled hign or low depends on your sensor need. It has 5 volt and ground bus pins to supply power to external modules if needed. It has connectors for 6 servos with optional external power input, 8 high current outputs are also available through the onboard ULN2803A chip, Connections can be made either from pin headers or screw terminals. I have added a hardware I2C output port, Also, there is an onboard Piezo sounder that can play tunes or an MP3 player module can be connected and controlled via Serial. The unit programs in Basic with a free software IDE from Picaxe.com. I find the Picaxe much easier to use and learn than other options out there. There is a second board for the MP3 player if you do not want to change the right angle pin connector to a straight connector on the MP3 player board.
