PINBALL Insert Led PCB
I have made this PCB because, during restoration on my Bally Mystic, a lot of my lamp holder are broken, and furthermore the bally pinballs of this generation need a resistor in parallel to each led in order to work correctly. This resistor is already integrated in the circuit, so it is not necessary to insert it elsewhere. The hole of the positive is a slot of about 12mm in such a way as to be able to center the LED correctly in the insert of the PF.
ATTENTION:
The LEDs are polarised: therefore it is necessary to identify the positive and negative of the circuit (generally the positive is the common, the metal mesh).
On PCB there are other two type of footprint. So it's possible mount 2835 led (with anode on big/small pad) or 5mm PTH led.
EDIT:
Change BOM with correct reference for led (D1 instead of D2).
Tips: Samsung led like SPMWH1228FD5WAV are really good to try.
REMEMBER:
- Always check the cathode/anode if it's correct with this footprint (example on bally: positive voltage on slot with screw => Anode)
- I inserted a current limiting resistor of 150R (about 25mA), but it can also go up to 100R (about 35mA)
