This design, by JasensCustoms.com allows easy installation of a modern fight board into the PS4 VLX without damaging any of the stock wiring. All functions work except touch pad tracking after install, solely because touch pad tracking has not been integrated into most replacement fightboards. This was originally designed when the Brook Universal Fighting Board was atop of the market. Any of their boards that match the footprint of the UFB (all of them mechanically) will work. The wiring may be slightly different on the JST connectors though and you may need to create custom wiring to connect them properly. DigiKey sells pre-crimped JST PHR wires which makes this trivial.

Your fight board needs to have a female 20P (2x10 ,2.54mm pitch) header soldered to the bottom of the board and the JST (PH) connectors soldered onto it as well. Orientation matters, make sure you connect each wire correctly.

Other useful parts include: PCB spacers, #4-40 screws for the stack and some #4-40 nuts to hold it all together. Reach out to me via our website if you want to source a parts pack that includes some premade cables required for this kit; I generally have extras.
