Compact Water Sensor for Liquid Detection
This project consists of a compact and efficient water sensor module designed to detect the presence of liquids in various applications. Its simple design makes it ideal for DIY projects, educational purposes, and automation systems.
Features:
-Liquid Detection: Detects the presence of water or other conductive liquids using two exposed tracks (ramp 1 and ramp 2) on the PCB.
-LED Indicator: Provides a visual alert when liquid is detected.
-Transistor Amplification: Utilizes an S8050 transistor to amplify the signal for reliable operation.
-Compact and Easy-to-Assemble Design: The PCB layout is optimized for simplicity and ease of use, even for beginners.
How It Works:
- Detection Mechanism: When water bridges the tracks (ramp 1 and ramp 2), it completes the circuit, triggering a small current flow.
- Signal Processing: The current flow is amplified by the S8050 transistor, activating the LED indicator.
- Connectivity: The module uses a 3-pin connector (J3) for power supply and signal output (+, -, S).
Applications:
-Leak Detection: Ideal for detecting water leaks in homes or industries.
-Automatic Irrigation Systems: Monitors water presence to control irrigation.
-Water Level Monitoring: Can be used in tanks or reservoirs to detect water levels.
-Educational Tool: A great way to teach basic sensor principles in electronics.
This module is compatible with microcontrollers like Arduino or Raspberry Pi, making it versatile for integration into a variety of projects. The design is compact, cost-effective, and ready to inspire new ideas for your electronic creations.
I’m open to suggestions and improvements to further optimize it!
