CENTRALIZED MONITORING SYSTEM FOR STREET LIGHT FAULT DETECTION AND LOCATION TRACKING
This project presents an IoT-based intelligent street light monitoring system designed to detect lamp failures, short circuits, and abnormal current conditions in real time.
The system consists of multiple sensor nodes (Node-1, Node-2) installed near street light poles and one main control unit. Each node uses an ESP32 microcontroller to monitor:
Light intensity using LDR sensors
Electrical current using INA219 current sensor
Short circuit and overcurrent conditions
The sensor nodes communicate wirelessly with the main ESP32 using ESP-NOW protocol. The main controller hosts a web dashboard that displays real-time status of all street lights including:
Current consumption
Individual lamp failure
Complete pole failure
Short circuit detection
Node offline status
