Speech-Basic – Commodore 64 Speech & Sound Digitizer PCB

This PCB is designed for the Commodore 64 Speech-Basic sound digitizer. It allows the C64 to record and digitally reproduce speech, music, and other audio signals.

The circuit provides a simple and low-cost interface for digitizing external audio and playing it back through the Commodore 64. The recorded sounds can be used directly or controlled from BASIC programs, making it possible to create sound effects and applications involving recorded speech and music.

The design supports audio effects such as echo, reverb, and other playback effects. Despite its simple design, it provides surprisingly good audio quality for a Commodore 64.

The PCB is intended as a compact, easy-to-build reproduction of the original Speech-Basic hardware design.
