The second phase of the Big Breadboard project, which is the power supply, has been completed and enclosed in a case. It could have been mounted underneath the all-in-one breadboard plate, but this setup works just as well. This has been a long project, so there's no need for further adjustments it gets the job done.

Power Supply Design and Use of SMPS IC

The power supply is of the SMPS (Switch Mode Power Supply) type, controlled by the IR2153 IC. The power transformer used is the EI28 model, which was salvaged from an older ATX power supply. While the original circuit is rated for 300W, my project does not require high power, so components such as capacitor values, transformer, and heatsinks were selected accordingly.
