BE6502 Build a 6502 computer (Arduino- and backplane-module)
Ben Eater has been a huge inspiration for many getting into building computers using basic electronic building blocks, his videos are truly excellent and it is no wonder he's often referred to as the Bob Ross of Breadboards! His latest project is building a 6502 computer on a breadboard, a video series that at this moment in time still has not concluded so there might be changes along the way (this build covers up to part 3)!
Anyway, I've not had much success with building things on breadboards so I tend to design the PCBs first and test things later. In order to reduce the costs, I've designed the various bits as a set of separate modules that can be used together to follow along with the videos. This module serves as a 2 or 3 slot backplane which you can use when connecting other expansions to the computer, it also doubles as an Arduino Mega 2560 shield so that you can use the supplied Arduino sketch to monitor bus signals at a low clock-rate like in the videos. Also look for the actual SBC-module for the actual computer and the separate clock module to complete the set.
