Azure-Mote

Azure-Mote is my submission for the KiCad 2026 PCB Design Competition. It is a standalone subsystem of a larger project currently in development: a modular handheld gaming device.

The Azure-Mote is a detachable Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) controller designed to provide a seamless wireless gaming experience. It is built around the MDBT50Q-1MV2 module, enabling low-power Bluetooth connectivity while allowing the controller to be freely connected and disconnected from the main device using magnetic Pogo-Pins.

When docked, the controller can be recharged directly through the handheld using the BQ24074RGT battery charger IC, eliminating the need for a separate charging solution and providing a convenient, integrated user experience.
