This is a dual purpose adapter for 5200 owners. It will let you use a PC joystick with your 5200 and provide the missing keypad keys. The 0.22uF capacitors let the PC potentiometers work with the 5200. For those with the Wico 5200 controller but no keypad, no Y cable, or no working 5200 controller to plug into the Y cable - this can be your solution.

Both jumpers should be set to the same - either Wico = no jumpers or PC = jumpers present

If you will only use one type of controller you can leave out headers and jumpers and solder them shorted if you are using a PC joystick

DO NOT use both controllers at once

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT plug a normal Atari 9 pin joystick (used on the 2600, computers, Commodore, etc) into the 9 pin connector - those are digital joysticks! The Wico 5200 joystick has 2 potentiometers (analog) and the buttons and while it uses the same connector is not equivalent.
