Antonov An-32 Engine Nacelles.

The main difference from the other family members of the An-24, An-26 and An-30 members of the small twin turboprop family of soviet/ukrainian aircraft is the larger Ivchenko AI-20D Turboprops mounted high on the wings.

As there are some Scale Modelling Kits for the An-24 family around in 1:144 but virtually no An-32s currently on the market, I decided to modify a An-26 kit from A-Model/SOVA.

The main differences are:

• Engines: Ivchenko AI-20D instead of the AI-24s (5180 ehp instead of 2820/1580 ehp).
• Props: AV-68DM (dia 4.7m) instead of the AV-72T (dia 3.9m).
• Ventral strakes: enlarged on both sides of the ramp opening.
• Tail surfaces: enlarged at root of approx. 10cm each.
• Double slotted inboard flaps.

This model should cover the engine differences.

Assembly requires cutting the slot for the wing to pass thtough larger, open up the lower air intake, fill, sand and score the panel lines. Also drill the APU opening on the starboard outer nacelle end.
