Main Characteristics:

• 12 bit (8 bits x 16 voices/channels) DAC converter with mono LM386 and a new 9.07kHz LPF (audio range up to ~18kHz).
• It uses the address bus to send the 12 bit sample for conversion.
• Address lines A1-A12 offsetted by the cartridge into available memory space.

• Optimized BOM and PCB size: 42x67mm, 2 Layers,Thickness:1.6mm
• Higher noise immunity (ferrite beads and decoupling caps at the power rails, narrow routing and solid ground planes).
• Improved PSSR for noisy 5V line from the Atari (to avoid noise due to the mechanical floppy disk drive activity or old internal PSU).
• Use of resistor networks at ±0.30% (including tolerance and matching ratio) for the best DAC linearity.
• Thumbwheel controls for adjusting GAIN (from 1X to 10X) and BASS BOOST (more intense) + manual ON/OFF shunt jumpers.
• Zobel network to prevent HF oscillations and instability.
• Anti-Hiss function (optional) that attenuates the unwanted noise in a desired quiet region using an adaptive filter (usually when selecting high gain at low input signal).
• Filter for the radio interference picked up by the audio input connection.
