4X ESC for quadcopters
Open source brushless ESC for quadcopters. Uses standard 30.5mm mounting. Runs the common open source AM32 firmware and supports the DShot protocol. Can be used for driving brushless DC motors in most common FPV drone stacks.
Can handle 6S voltages and 60A current.
Consists of two boards:
- logic board with microcontrollers and mosfet drivers
- power board with mosfets, capacitors, and voltage regulators
Logic board can be made using a regular 4 layer PCB
Power board should be made with 2Cu (or thicker) copper layers for maximum current capacity.
This separation improves signal integrity, allows for greater current capacity on the power board, and allows for smaller trace width and spacing tolerances on the logic board.
The two boards can then be soldered using the castellated holes on the logic board and pads on the power board.
AM32REF_F051 target should be flashed via the test points on the logic board, and the regular AM32 configurator can be used via serial passthrough.
Gerbers, centroids, BOMs and PCBWay ordering parameters for both PCBs are all attached in the "Other files" sections
