38mm Rocket Motor

38 mm High-Performance Rocket Motor

Description:

This project is a custom 38mm rocket motor that is built to deliver consistent and efficient thrust for experimental solid rockets. The motor measures 277mm in length and holds four propellant grains, each being 2.25 inches long, and is projected to produce 385N of peak thrust.

Purpose:

I created this motor to install into my high school team's rocket. We wanted to research and experiment with different nozzles and forward closures, and this motor enables us to do so!
