1Hz generator with versatile 555
With this circuit it is possible to obtain a clock of approximately 5V@1Hz for digital and analog projects. This circuit works with an AC input voltage of 100-240 VAC. You can use it for any application, both analog and digital. The circuit uses a transformerless (capacitive) source, full-wave rectification, zener regulator, a 555 mode oscillator, and a trimpot for fine tuning. A simple way to create a TTL clock generator with few parts, easily accessible, without needing to program anything, just with a soldering iron and just using good old analog electronics.
