PCBWay Mascot 3D Printing Design Contest

Contest Introduction

The first-ever PCBWay 3D Printing Design Contest is officially launched!

We invite all 3D printing enthusiasts to unleash their creativity in two exciting categories: design a 3D model based on PCBWay’s official mascot "Eon," or create your very own original character, figurine, or doll! Winning entries will not only receive great prizes but may also be professionally 3D printed and displayed!

Contest Themes

This contest features TWO independent categories. Participants can enter ONE or BOTH:

• Category 1: Eon-Themed Designs

Create a design inspired by PCBWay’s official mascot "Eon," which represents our commitment to quality, efficiency, 

and sustainability. You are encouraged to imagine Eon in different outfits, expressions, poses, and styles.

• Category 2: Open Creative Designs

Let your imagination run free! Design any original 3D character, action figure, doll, or collectible you like. Whether it's a 

fantasy creature, mecha warrior, anime-inspired figure, or something entirely new—we welcome it all!

Awards and Corresponding Prizes:

Each category will feature the following awards (Eight Winners In Total):

• First Prize (1 winner per category): $500 cash + certificate
• Second Prize (2 winners per category): $200 coupon + certificate
• Most Creative Award (1 winner per category): $200 coupon + certificate

All shortlisted designs will have the chance to be 3D printed into physical models and featured on PCBWay’s platform.

How to Submit

Submit your entry via the PCBWay Open Source Community:

Step 1: Visit our Open Source Community 【https://www.pcbway.com/project/shareproject/techshare.aspx】

Step 2: Select the “CNC & 3D Printing” category when uploading

Step 3: Specify your entry category (“Eon Theme” or “Open Creative”) in the project description

Step 4: Provide a full project title, description, and all required files

Step 5: Click “Submit” to complete your entry

Submission Requirements

Required format: Must include 3D printable CAD files (e.g., STL, STEP)

Recommended: Renders, assembly files, and a design description

Multiple entries are allowed across categories

Submission Period

Submissions are accepted on a long-term basis with no specified deadline.

All entries will be reviewed. Those that meet the theme will receive a $50 PCBWay coupon and advance to the final judging stage.

Judging Process

Judging will begin once a minimum of 16 qualified entries have been shortlisted.

If fewer than 16 entries qualify under the theme, awards for that theme will not be issued.

Judging Criteria

Creativity & Originality (40%)

Design Quality (30%): Detailing, structural integrity, printability

Theme Relevance (20%): Alignment with brand values (Eon category) or overall execution (Open category)

Community Engagement (10%): Likes, comments, and interaction

Winners Announcement

Winners will be announced after the judging process has been completed.

Important Notes

Originality: All entries must be original. Participants are responsible for ensuring that their work does not infringe upon any third-party intellectual property rights. Any violation will result in disqualification, and the participant shall bear all related responsibilities.

Submission Review: All entries submitted to the community will undergo review. Only those that comply with the contest themes and requirements will be publicly displayed.

Final Interpretation Right: PCBWay reserves the right of final interpretation of all aspects of this contest.
