AeroShield is an open-source, compact air quality 

monitoring platform designed entirely in KiCad 10. 

Built around the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1, it measures:

- CO2 concentration (MH-Z19C NDIR sensor)

- Temperature and humidity (SHT31-D)

- Displays real-time data on SSD1306 OLED display

- Optional Wi-Fi data logging to cloud

Hardware Features:

- USB-C powered (5V input)

- AMS1117-3.3 LDO voltage regulator

- Solid ground plane for signal integrity

- I2C bus with proper 4.7k pull-up resistors

- ESD protection on USB data lines

- Reset and Boot buttons for easy programming

- Status LED for visual feedback

- Compact 2-layer PCB design

Design Highlights:

- Designed completely in KiCad 10

- SMD components for compact layout

- Ground plane on both copper layers

- Clean signal routing with proper impedance

- Follows USB-C specification (CC resistors included)

This project demonstrates proper PCB design 

practices including decoupling capacitors, 

pull-up resistors, and protection circuits — 

making it suitable for real-world deployment.
