Description
16x16 Analog Switch
This 16x16 analog crosspoint switch uses two MT8816 8x16 switch ICs cascaded for a larger matrix.
The PCB is configured to accept 5V power and uses an ICL7660 to generate a -5V supply to allow analog signals centered at 0v to be switched.
An MCP23017 GPIO expander is used to interface with the MT8816 ICs so an off-board I2C controller is needed to turn the node switches on or off.
This can be used to route various signal inputs to various outputs such as switching between test input signals to send them to a device under test, or send one input signal to multiple devices under test etc.
