A while back I created a prototype board for the PLA replacement chip for C64. It was time to make a PCB out of it. In this blog post I describe the steps that I did to design the PCB using KiCad.An updated PCB has been released by AdamT that has better compatibility with the C64 250407 board. Made a new version of my XUM1541, specifically the C64 XUM1541-II because obviously I had to call it that. Apart from updating the hardware, I wanted to make it a bit prettier - so I made a completely optional faceplate that goes on top of it. I may make more of these designs, which is why it is being referred to as FA1.
