With every PSIO Flashcart you have one Switchboard included. But what if you have more than one PS1-Console and you want to use the PSIO Flashcart with all of them. => You will need more Switchboards. One for each Console.

That's at least what my problem was and that way i designed this little replica. It's exactly useable like the original switchboard and can get installed with the original installation-instruction from the PSIO website.

With this Switchboard-Modification you have also the ability to include a clean installation of a MM3-Modchip inside your console. While you can install the modchip and the switchboard of course as two splitted project inside your console, i wanted to have a clean solution for including both on one board. This saves you also two wires.

The Modchip-Part is installable like every other MM3 modchip. Just google for an installation-instruction. (GND and VCC is already installed with the Switchboard, so you can save those two wires on the modchip-part)

The big advantage is, that with this board you can play your favorite PS1 games from an SD-Card with the PS-IO Flashcart, or you can play your original discs with the CD-Drive of the PS1, AND you can play your CD-Backups with the CD-Drive of your PS1.

R1-R3 = 10K SMD [1206]

R4 = 47K SMD [1206]

C1 = 100nf SMD [1206]

1x PIC12C508A [SOP8] (pre-programmed with the needed MM3-Modchip-Source!!)
