NEW! I2C controllable buck-boost converter V3.0
This is my new, upgraded, I2C controllable buck-boost converter based on the TPS55289. You can control it's output voltage with any arduino, any esp32, stm32 etc...any MCU.
INPUT VOLTAGE: 3V-30V
OUTPUT VOLTAGE (no load): 0.9V-21.4V in 10mV steps OR
OUTPUT VOLTAGE (no load): 0.9V-10V in 5mV steps
Dimensions using BOM A (WxLxH): 36.3x55.6x14.6 mm, 1.43x2.19x0.57 in
Dimensions using BOM B (WxLxH): 36.3x55.6x16.4 mm, 1.43x2.19x0.65 in
Additions/changes made:
Added M2 mounting holes
Added Shunt resistor to enable CC and CDC (Cable Drop Compensation)
Added frequency smd "DIP" switch to let user select between 200Khz, 400Khz, 600Khz and 800Khz
I2C resistors are now embedded into the PCB
Labels are now clearer, added input voltage range label
There are 4 BOMs you can choose after download.
BOM A_5m uses Asian capacitors and 5m shunt
Bom A_10m uses Asian capacitors and 10m shunt
BOM B_5m uses American capacitors and 5m shunt
Bom B_10m uses American capacitors and 10m shunt
Using Asian brands you should reduce lead time and cost
Using a 5m shunt let's you adjust the CC mode in 100mA steps
Using a 10m shunt let's you adjust the CC mode in 50mA steps
Order instruction: 4 layer, 4mil track spacing, 0.25mm+ min hole size
A video will be uploaded on the YT channel in those days
