Flatbox Rev 9 PCB
Project Overview:
This is an open-source, ultra-slim leverless fightstick controller PCB (Flatbox Rev 5 design by jfedor2) powered by an RP2040 microcontroller for fighting game inputs.
Manufacturing & Assembly Requirements:
1. PCB Specs: 1.6mm thickness, standard FR-4, 2-layer board.
2. SMT Assembly: Please perform single-sided SMT assembly on the top layer components as defined in the provided BOM and Pick-and-Place (CPL) files.
3. Key Onboard Components:
- RP2040 Microcontroller chip and supporting passives (resistors, capacitors, crystal oscillator, diodes).
- USB Type-C port for power and data connection.
- Kailh Choc Low-Profile Hot-Swap Sockets (PG1350) for mechanical keyboard switches.
- Small tactile push buttons for auxiliary functions (Start, Select, Home, etc.).
Engineering & Quality Check Notes:
- Please verify component orientation (Pin 1 location) for the RP2040 chip and diode polarity against the CPL file before soldering.
- Ensure the Kailh Choc hot-swap sockets are soldered completely flat against the board surface to allow smooth switch insertion post-assembly.
- Please provide a DFM (Design for Manufacturability) proof/render for approval prior to running full production.
