AVR Programmer with OLED Display and Rotary Encoder
This PCB hosts an Arduino Pro Micro via 0.1 inch header sockets (so it can be removed and used in other projects too).
There are more female sockets to connect Dupont wires to a target AVR chip for programming, or optional daughter plug-in cards can be made with chip sockets for plugging in directly.
The board is powered by the USB connector on the Pro Micro and there is a 12 volt High Voltage power supply for fuse programming.
There is an OLED and a rotary encoder on board to allow stand alone programming of fuses based on the sketch that is in the Pro Micro. By default it was designed to provide some shortcuts to change the Reset pin on ATTiny85 back and forth between a GPIO and a normal Reset pin.
When connected to a computer, if the Pro Micro contains the Arduino ISP sketch, the board can act as an ISP programmer.
Other AVR programming modes will be implemented over time. By using the headers to connect to the target device off-board, more flexibility is available to support more devices and protocols in the future.
