SAR Robotic Team

Introduction

Our Team is a SAR (Save and Rescue) robotics team from Diponegoro University, Semarang, Indonesia. We are the KRSRI Robotic Team with the name EWS Andromeda Team is innovating victim rescue robots from natural disasters which later be contested in the KRI (Indonesia Robotic Contest) organized by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, namely in the KRSRI division. EWS Andromeda Founded in 2011, we have received a lot of categories and medals in robotic contests. our team is dedicated to educating and developing robotics for national and international competitions, aiming to enhance students' skills in technology, particularly robotics.



Our Competition

The KRSRI Division (Indonesian SAR Robot Contest) is a division where robots using several servo legs independently move in the field simulating natural disasters like earthquakes, and landslides, climbing stairs, and saving victims from destroyed buildings or any dangerous places to save zones. The robot was made with the Mechanics tasked with designing and assembling the robot's frame. The programmer is tasked with creating programs so that the robot can run following KRSRI regulations with autonomy. Electrical is responsible for arranging the robot's electronic components.



Research and Development

The design and development of "EWS Andromeda" are driven by rigorous R&D methodologies, aimed at improving existing technologies and pioneering new solutions to technical challenges. Every aspect of the robot, from mechanical and electrical systems to software, undergoes rigorous testing to ensure optimal performance during operations. "EWS Andromeda" has undergone numerous upgrades compared to previous versions, including improvements in mechanical design, electrical systems, and software, ensuring it can complete all assigned missions efficiently. One part of the project that uses PCBs extensively is the Electrical division:

  • Robotic Main Controler PCB:

a cutting-edge robotic controller that can control the servo for the leg and sensor with high precision

  • Power PCB:

Its function is to regulate and distribute power from the battery cells to the system.
