Kyung Hee Automobile Research Society - Sponsorship Proposal
Hello.
We are the Kyung Hee Automobile Research Association (KHARS), a self-made car production club affiliated with the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Kyung Hee University.
KHARS, the Kyung Hee Automobile Research Society, was founded in 1985 by Kyung Hee University mechanical engineering students who loved cars.
We are ‘Korea’s first automotive academic research and Formula Student Racecar Team.
KHARS has a long history of designing and manufacturing student manufacturing cars (Baja, formula) and has won prizes in numerous student race car design competitions such as the ‘KSAE (Korea Student Automotive Engineers competition)’, solidifying its position in Korea.
When manufacturing a car, we use computer aided engineering programs to design the vehicle, predict damage to parts. We also design and manufacture vehicle control (such as error detection and power off) circuits and build electrical systems. Then, welding pipes, notching and spot welding battery cells, and wiring electrical systems. Finally We complete the car. Through the above activities, we aim to move beyond academic study and we are growing up every day to become an engineer.

Automotive engineering societies around the world are holding Formula Student Automobile Engineers competition for students to acquire automobile technology and foster future automobile industry professionals
The Korean Society of Automotive Engineering, representing Korea, has been holding a Formula Student Automobile Engineers Competition in korea every year since 2007.
→ 51 teams from 42 universities, approximately 1,500 participants
in Formula, Republic of Korea, 2025
è
2026 FSK competition
èDate : 2026.08.27 ~ 2026.08.30
Location : Korea Automobile Research Institute
E-Mobility Research Center
(YeongGwang-gun, Korea)
We will go to this competition.
Formula Student vehicles operate in extreme driving environments with high speed, repeated acceleration, braking and cornering, and the structural stability and lightweight of each part is a critical factor.
KHARS designs and manufactures aerodynamic devices using CFRP, and high-quality carbon fiber cnc machining is essential for the stability and lightweight of Swan Neck and Ribs that must withstand various vibrations and loads.
By applying PCBWays' proven technology and reliability in the CNC field to actual Formula Student vehicles, we want to achieve more stable vehicle production and performance improvements.

If the swan neck can be made lighter and stronger through carbon fiber CNC machining, the performance of our vehicle will be improved.

KHARS is working day and night to participate in 2026 Formula Student Korea (FSK).
With everyone working to reach higher ground, PCBWays' Carbon Fiber CNC machining could take us one step closer to this goal.
PCBWays' products are a must-have for us that we have kept wanting.
Therefore, I would like to ask if PCBWays' products can be obtained as in-kind support or special
discounts.
The support of Carbon Fiber CNC machining will be of great help to those of us working on future engineers.
As the slogan ‘Drive Through The Future’ suggests, our Kyung Hee Automobile Research Group is moving forward into the future.
If we receive support from ‘Carbon Fiber CNC machining’ and lead a revolution and produce more advanced vehicles, it would be really helpful for the first step take to become leaders of future industries around the world.
Thank you.
