ABOUT US

Meet the Team

Yuvaansh | Co-Founder and Lead Organizer

Jaitra | Co-Founder and Technical Director

We are two dedicated high school students passionate about fintech, software development, and creating meaningful learning experiences for our peers. Together, we bring experience in:

- Software engineering and web development

- Finance competitions and market analysis

- Hackathon participation and organization

- Student entrepreneurship and community building

Over the past few years, we have participated in numerous hackathons, coding competitions, and startup programs. We have built software projects spanning finance tools, web platforms, and data analysis applications. Now, we want to give back to the student community by creating an event that combines everything we love: technology, finance, and hands-on learning.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

What is Finnova Hacks?

Finnova Hacks is a 36-hour fintech-themed software hackathon designed to teach students how modern financial systems work through hands-on application development.

Unlike traditional hackathons, Finnova Hacks combines:

- Financial case studies with real-world business scenarios

- Live market simulations with dynamic updates that affect project strategy

- Software development focused on building functional fintech applications

================================================================================

HOW IT WORKS

Phase 1: Team Setup

Each team receives:

- A unique financial case study

- A real-world role (CEO, retail worker, regulator, investment banker, etc.)

- Specific financial goals and constraints to work within

Phase 2: Build

Teams develop software solutions such as:

- Budgeting and personal finance applications

- Trading simulators and market analysis tools

- Fraud detection and compliance dashboards

- Financial data visualization platforms

- Payment and transaction management systems

Phase 3: Adapt

Throughout the hackathon, teams receive live financial updates simulating:

- Market fluctuations

- Regulatory changes

- Economic news events

Teams must adapt their product strategy and features in real time, practicing both financial reasoning and technical pivoting.

HARDWARE EXTENSION (OPTIONAL PRIZE TRACK)

While Finnova Hacks is primarily software-focused, we offer Arduino-based hardware kits as optional prizes for teams who want to extend their projects into physical prototypes.

What Teams Can Build:

- Physical budgeting or spending trackers

- Simple authentication devices linked to their apps

- Fintech-related hardware demos (card readers, LED indicators, sensors)

- IoT-connected financial monitoring tools

Why This Matters:

Hardware is not required to compete, but it encourages students to:

- Think beyond code

- Explore physical product design

- Understand how software and hardware integrate in real fintech products

PROJECT DELIVERABLES

All participating teams submit:

Source Code: GitHub repository with full codebase

Architecture Diagram: System design and data flow

Demo Video: 3 to 5 minute walkthrough of the project

Financial Analysis: Market reasoning and strategy documentation

Hardware Notes: (Optional) Integration details for Arduino projects

All submissions are archived for educational and reference purposes.
