"Formula Student (FS) is Europe's most established educational motorsport competition, run by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. The competition aims to inspire and develop enterprising and innovative young engineers. Universities from across the globe are challenged to design and build a single-seat racing car in order to compete in static and dynamic events, which demonstrate their understanding and test the performance of the vehicle."

Now, let me talk about our Formula Student Team. We were founded two years ago, and nowadays we are a multidisciplinary group made up by electronic, mechanical, aeronautical, industrial and telecommunications engineering students. Last year we went to Hockenheim (Formula Student Germany) and Montmeló (Formula Student Spain) to participate in their international competitions. Only in our second year as a Formula Student team, we were in the 13th position of 71 teams in Formula Student Germany, the best position for a spanish team. In Formula Student Spain, we reach the 7th position, winning the Best Spanish Team Award. The last season reflects the result of hard work and continued progress. So, for this year, our goal is to improve the last performance improving in the construction of the car to be more competitive.

Project Introduction:
Our team competes with a combustion car with self-developed electronics systems.

                  
Project Details
We develop almost every electronic system of our car. We have fully developed our data acquisition system with data logger, the steering wheel integrated visual aid system,  the brake light and several modules for instrumentation and acquisition. Also we develop control methods to create driver aid as launch control and traction control on the engine, with power signals.
We try to develop our systems in the lighter possible way. That is why we are committed with SMD packages and tight designs. We are evolving constantly and we trust in quickly prototyping of our designs in order to not stopping.
