CAN Hub 2.0

I work with Formula Kentucky. We are a university club that competes in the Formula Society of Automotive Engineer's racing series. Every year, we design, fabricate, test, and race a scaled down formula racecar. Our current car is FK04, which we have been working on for 2 years. With this car, we want to take a huge leap forward in our datalogging capabilities. Part of our new data logging package is this project, a Controller Area Network Hub that connects our sensor boards to the data logger while also powering them.

While relatively simple in schematic, this board plays a vital role in allowing us to have multiple sensors sending data to the data logger. We need a board that can make connections while not taking up very much space. This board accomplishes both of those things by being about 1.5 inches by 1 inch.

Being this size allows the board to be easily placed anywhere we need it on the car, allowing us to connect as many sensors as we want wherever they are on the car.
