(DIY) ATARI 2600 2X4KB DOUBLE GAME CARTRIDGE

You can make your own custom Atari 2600 Double Game Cartridges.

Hello,

 This is a simple,DIY multi game Atari 2600 cartridge. It has 2 games capacity each 4 kilobytes, total 8KB.

 All components are through hole, marked on the PCB, Easy to solder, Easy to make ;)

This cartridge is designed to be plug-and-play, user-friendly, and does not require any hardware adjustments or jumper settings. Just insert the cartridge and turn on your Atari 2600.

 This is a tested and working circuit board. This cartridge is tested with Atari 2600 Jr. (PAL)

Just select 2pcs. your favorite 4 Kilobytes games and make your own custom Atari 2600 Double Game Cartridge.

You can find many different ROM files on the internet by searching "Atari 2600 ROMS" or "Atari 2600 tosec"

ROM files bigger than 4 kilobytes are not suitable for this cartridge, you can use only 2 or 4 kilobytes ROM files.

If your ROM file is 2KB then you should append it to itself to make a 4Kb file. You can simpy do this with a "HEX-Editor" program.

You should append the 4 Kilobytes 2pcs. ROM files each other, by using a "HEX Editor" program.

27c64 (DIP28) (Requires Programming) (27C128, 27C256, 27C512 can also be okay, but only 8KB will be used.)

74LS04 or SN74LS04 (DIP14)

100nf Ceramic Capacitor

10K Ohm 1/4 Watt Resistance

DIP28 WIDE IC SOCKET (optional)

DIP14 IC SOCKET (optional)

In order to protect your electronical devices, always turn off your ATARI 2600 before inserting or removing cartridges.

If you have a programmer capable of testing IC chips, such as the 74LS series, you should remember to test them before soldering. Some chips may be defective. (TL866 Minipro Programmer can test some logic ICs)

Gerber files and component list are subject to change without notice. Before paying for the PCBs, be sure to update your orders!

Unless I specify explicitly, all my projects are tested and confirmed to work under normal circumstances before being shared. I'm sorry I didn't have enough time to answer all the questions.
