Video control joystick
This board is a controller for equipment in live video productions. With the RS-485 and Ethernet connection it can be programmed to control practically any PTZ camera. The Pi Pico is also fast enough to implement the network protocol for ATEM video switchers to make the leds in the buttons reflect the currently live and preview camera.
The buttons are PB06-B-WT-2RGB-NN-QY buttons which is one of the more affordable options for broadcast switcher buttons with an RGB led in them.
The board is designed around a Raspberry Pi Pico module that will be soldered to the back of the PCB. There are holes in the PCB to connect three jumper wires to the test-pads on the back of the pi pico to hook up the USB-C connector that will align with the case and the bootsel button.
The "Shift" button on the case will function as the bootsel button while powering up the device to make sure it's always possible to flash the firmware on the pico without opening up the case.
The display and ethernet controller are prototyping modules that fit nicely in the case. The OLED screen will be at the correct height for the case when connected with a normal female pinheader and the ethernet controller is designed to be soldered on the back of the PCB to fit in an angled case.
