This is a replacement bracket for Sony PVM models 904x/804x (9 inch) and 6041/5041 (6 inch). The bracket is the same and fits both the 9 and 6 inch models. These brackets are used to hold the D and B boards in place. Both sides use the same brackets, so make sure you check if you need one or two.
The original brackets are almost always broken on these. I could not find a model online so I made one myself.
Printed using PLA . Recommend printing in .16mm. Up to .24mm should be fine also. Supports are required.
For better heat resistance, it is recommended to print in ABS or ASA.
There are some changes in the design.
First, there are tabs on the sides that I completely removed as I saw no need for having them. The bracket is attached to the chassis using two screws. Not sure what these tabs are for, so I removed them.
Second, there are 3 tabs that help hold the PCB inside the bracket. These were tough to model and are not suitable for 3d printing as they kept breaking off when inserting the board. Instead, I opted to extrude a rectangle that is flexible enough to be bent upwards to slot the board under to help keep it in place. To do this, insert a flat head screw driver from the underside to push the tabs upwards while installing the board in the bracket.
In addition to that, I added a notch nearby and a hole where you can use a small zip tie instead. The PCB has very convenient holes placed in the corners for this. Very tiny zip ties would be the best option here.
Some areas were also left out that I felt were not needed.
