SM2 One is a universal maker platform designed to replace multi-board setups with a single integrated PCB, combining power management, control interfaces and expansion capabilities for rapid prototyping and DIY electronics projects.

At its core, the system is powered by a high-performance ESP32-S3 WROOM module, providing sufficient processing power for complex control tasks as well as built-in WiFi and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connectivity. This enables wireless control, IoT applications and remote interaction without additional modules.

System Power Supply

The board supports flexible powering via USB-C or a 1S LiPo battery, making it suitable for both stationary and mobile applications. An integrated LiPo charging circuit allows the battery to be charged while the system is running.

A regulated power distribution system ensures stable operation across logic and high-current domains.

Power Control

Two onboard high-side power switch outputs allow direct switching of external loads such as motors, LED systems or other power-hungry components, eliminating the need for external driver boards

Servo Control

SM2 One provides 6 PWM servo outputs, optimized for robotics and animatronics.

Each channel includes an integrated level shifter to 5V logic, ensuring full compatibility with standard servo systems regardless of core voltage levels.

Sensor & Input Interface

A dedicated sensor / joystick interface supports analog and digital inputs for user interaction, control systems and embedded sensing applications.

Communication & Expansion

The board offers multiple standardized expansion options:

I²C Display Interface with integrated pull-up resistors, enabling direct connection of displays and sensors

SPI / Expansion Connector for high-speed peripherals or modular add-on boards

Expansion Header for system scaling or communication with additional boards

Design Philosophy

SM2 One is built to eliminate the complexity of traditional prototyping setups by integrating commonly used maker functions into a single, structured platform. This reduces wiring complexity, increases reliability and significantly speeds up development workflows.
