PCW Proto is a prototype perfboard for the Amstrad PCW. I got fed up with waiting two weeks for boards to arrive just so I could test my latest schematics, so I decided to create a prototype board which can be ordered cheaply in packs of 5. It also reduces the cost associated with ordering multiple revisions of boards, as well as environmental wastage with prototype boards that are unable to be bug fixed.

The board is compatible with both the standard PCW edge connector, and the PCW Backplane.

Usage

The silkscreen indicates the Wiring Side with the PCW Proto text on it, and the Component Side, where the components should be placed. It also shows where you would solder an edge connector to connect the board directly to the PCW, or a backplane connector to connect the PCB to a PCW Backplane.

Pay close attention to the silkscreen, and test everything as much as humanly possible before plugging the PCB into your PCW.

Use the +12V pin with great care; 5V components do not like 12V!

It goes without saying that I will not accept any responsibility for any damage you cause to your PCW by using the PCW Proto PCB. Usage is, therefore, entirely at your own risk.
