Low Power AM Transmitter with Bluetooth
This DIY AM transmitter lets you wirelessly broadcast music or audio from any Bluetooth-enabled device to vintage AM radios around your home or workshop. Designed for simplicity and performance, it features:
- Bluetooth audio input for modern wireless streaming
- Adjustable transmit frequency, typically around 1.3 MHz
- Adjustable modulation depth for clean, controlled sound
- Antenna tuning for maximum range and signal clarity
- 3-meter wire antenna, chosen to stay within legal low-power transmission limits
Despite its low power, this transmitter offers surprising reach when paired with proper antenna tuning and grounding. The build is battery-powered and isolated from the mains. Whether you’re reviving vintage radios or just want to play music over the AM band, this fun, hands-on project blends old-school tech with modern convenience.
