GameCube Lid Switch 2.0
This PCB is a replacement for a Nintendo GameCube lid switch. This switch uses a magnetic reed switch rather than a physical toggle switch. This version (2.0) includes a bypass switch which can be used if any part of the reed system fails or if you want to use it to help diagnose issues while your system is apart. If you'd like to forgo the switch to save money the board and reed switch will work all the same!
*No Shell Modification Required*
You will need to source a small magnet (At Least 5mm diameter) to use with the Reed switch.
My hope is that these switches will be more reliable and durable than the original physical switch. You can pull the connector from the original board, and reed switches and magnets can be found on AliExpress, Amazon, Digikey.
