ESP32 Board
My project is to design and manufacture a compact ESP32 development board with full features, making learning and prototyping IoT faster and easier. The board uses the ESP32-S3, supports WiFi and Bluetooth, has two USB-C ports for both firmware flashing and UART communication, integrates a 3.3 V voltage regulator and a USB–UART converter, includes BOOT, RESET, and USER buttons, and exposes all GPIO pins through headers for expansion.
The idea came from the fact that when programming with ESP32, I often had to use many separate modules, which was cumbersome. So I decided to create an “all-in-one” board that’s plug-and-play.
The circuit works by drawing power through USB-C, regulating it down to 3.3 V to supply the ESP32, and combining it with an FTDI circuit to upload code via Arduino IDE or PlatformIO. It also brings out all the I/O pins on two header rows, making it easy to connect sensors, relays, or displays.
I also placed a “TUN” logo in the center of the PCB as a personal touch. Here’s the PCB layout I’ve just completed, and I’ll continue by recording a demo video showing the board running a blinking LED program and connecting to WiFi to demonstrate its capabilities.
